Verify a card before starting work
New work requires a verified payment method, including work paid from promotional credit. Add a card from
Billing or with nodus billing portal --setup. Setup does not charge the card or enable auto-recharge.
The $30 signup grant and its 30-day expiration are unchanged. Existing funded work keeps running.
Billing status refreshes while setup completes. New calls, agent messages and user process requests check the card; message retries and automatic recovery preserve their original admission. Late refund failures return credit once, and overlapping disputes remain blocked until every dispute closes.
Independent reconciliation compares Stripe gross payment movements with clearing and dispute-holding entries. It reports discrepancies for review without changing customer balances.
Client upgrade: Status.reason now accepts future error codes as strings. Regenerate clients that validate the
previous closed enum before enabling this release. Generated Python Reason and TypeScript StatusReason
exports are replaced by string fields; the SDK’s named error classes and generic error handling remain available.
